Hi guys! I don’t know how blogs work (although I have done it in elementary, we don’t talk about that) but hey, what’s the point in not trying? Might as well go for it!
Anyways moving on, I would like to talk about my (very!) recent trip to Ottawa where I celebrated my uncle’s wedding! Now obviously I packed weeks in advance right? Nope! Of course I didn’t! I did everything the day before, like a totally normal human would! But anyways we still made our way down to our lovely capital of Canada and stayed at our hotel that was located near the airport (don’t worry the planes weren’t loud I didn’t go deaf). It was a 5 hour drive but I slept for most of it so it felt like 2 hours. Anyways my family was the first out of most of the guests on my family’s side because they like to be really early, and since my parents don’t like to pay extra for another room since we are a family of 5, and hotels can “hold” a max of 4 people in one room, they just find a way around it and have us 5 in one room instead (get scammed hotel!). Once we unpacked and settled in, we realized that the beds were too small for me and decided to go and get an air mattress from Canadian Tire. Now at this point I have only explained the first day we got here, well that’s because I remember most things because I got back from this trip a couple days ago, but I won’t bore you to death with all of what happened, instead I will tell you the highlights from here on forth. So pretty much the highlights were of course me getting to see my cousins from across the border from us because that is always a good thing to happen whenever we are all there, the actual ceremony because as a hindu person myself, ceremonies for us always seem like we go all out (no offense to other religions, this is just my opinion). And lastly, probably the best part about the trip was the reception. For those who don’t know, I’ll give it to you broad, wear a suit, eat and dance, end of debrief. So we did that and partied for 6 hours straight. Personally, I blame the Americans for that but I digress. Like I said before, it has been a LONG time since I last wrote a blog, but this will not be the last blog, as there is more to come…
