Hey hey people, Braden here.
That’s right, I’ve stolen a bit from a video game reviewer. Want to know what I have not stolen?
Candy. From a baby. Speaking of candy, here’s a few tips for your younger siblings, kids, friends, or even yourself on Halloween.
Be Vigilant
Perhaps the most important tip on Halloween is keep an eye out for kids crossing roads and walking along the street as they go from house to house collecting candy. Likewise, trick-or-treaters have a duty to also be on lookout for cars, bikes, and other vehicles while sticking to sidewalks and keeping as close to the curb on streets as possible. Safety is a two-way street, pun partially intended.
Be Visible
The best Halloween costumes are ones that are highly visible at night. That Scream outfit and that Nun outfit may look cool, but can it be seen from afar? Yeah. That bright Pennywise costume looks a lot better when it comes to being seen, and being creepy with that clown outfit.
Stick Together in Groups
It’s more fun to go trick-or-treating in groups! As well as fighting with your friends when they get the Aeros and you get the bag of plain chips, sticking in groups and keeping track of your friends will only keep you all safe from danger and keeps
Ease Up on The Booze
Now this one is for the college and university students who dress up as scantily-clad versions of cops, ghosts, cowboys, and firefighters. Yes, as we all got older Halloween got more adult-oriented (imagine that) instead of going for candy. It may be on a weekday this year, but when there is Halloween there is always an excuse to go out and have spooky cocktails with the pals. Basically, you indulge in the good stuff you aren’t in the right state of mind. If you are going to and from a bar or party, either have a designated driver or take alternative transportation like uber, buses, or subway cars.
Now if you’ll excuse me after that list, time to go steal some candy, for real. From my parents’ candy stash. I don’t steal candy from babies. Catch me every Monday from 1-3pm on S@y Radio.
