After a relaxing Christmas holiday, I’m back to school on January 6. I expect that it will be another semester that good enough efforts must be put in by me as a non-local student. I very look forward to being able to graduate in mid-April.
At the start of 2025, I must be thankful to God again for helping me get through all the difficulties on this schooling path since Fall 2023. It doesn’t mean that I am capable. Certainly I am not. Without Him, without my best friend and my own family, and without those good and encouraging professors, I will not and cannot be here taking the last semester.
When I resume doing broadcast live radio show, there’s a topic that I will cover. It’s the discounted movie tickets and popcorn offer by a large cinema chain. It’s a very ordinary offer, but it does remind me that, at times, there are good opportunities lying ahead of us. It may be economical air tickets, or an unexpected internship or work offer for you. It’s easy that we let go wonderful chances, for whatever reason. For me, I’m very thankful to God that, at the end of 2024, I’ve completed my 100 internship hours. I recall when I had attended the interview in last August, I had a voice at heart asking me to try again. I therefore wrote a follow up e-mail to promote myself further. I wouldn’t have obtained my field placement if I’d given up after the interview and didn’t try to comply with their basic requirement. I would say that this is a miracle because I rely on no personal connection – a Canadian culture – but only through God.
Life is full of difficulties. It’s fine if you’ve tried but still failed at the end, but please don’t give up hope, try to stay positive. Life still goes on. You never know what will happen next.
