I have nine classes this semester and I know I will survive. HOWEVER. I still want to complain a little. At this point I have enough classes I’m working like I have a full time 9-5. I’m out here writing notes for classes that start at 8:55 on the go train at 7am. Thankfully one of my classes is entirely online and asynchronous and my Wednesdays are class free so I spend them doing all of my homework. I also try my best to be as ahead of things as I can be, working sometimes even weeks ahead in my elective. My work-life balance could be much better but who needs sleep in your own bed when you can finally crash at 3am wake up at 7:15 and nap on the 7:45am go train. My plan when study week rolls around is to finish as much of my school work as I possibly can so my life can be as smooth sailing as possible approaching the end of the semester and graduation. Nothing will get in my way of being the first member in my immediate family to graduate college. I got myself in this predicament last semester. I took a class that was advertised as online asynchronous, however it had a test every Monday and Mondays were crazy busy for me so I asked to take my tests every Sunday instead, a day early. He would not let me and so I dropped the course because I almost certainly would never be able to complete those tests. And now I am short one single credit to graduate on time so we cram. Especially because I’d be taking a whole semester for just one class and that’s tuition money I don’t have.
