I see these slogans on the website (https://www.internationalwomensday.com/):
“A world free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination. A world where difference is valued and celebrated. Together we can forge gender equality.”
The annual International Women’s Day is around the corner. Since 1911, this day has been set up for impacting women’s advancement. It recognizes and celebrates women’s social, economic, cultural, and political achievements.
I support raising our awareness about discrimination. I believe that all people are born equal. Instead of showing disrespect or feeling superior above others, we should try to help and treat others with love, not hatred, or to discourage.
Instead of talking about those great women who made contributions in history, this year, I am enthusiastic to specifically say some lines about a lady I know. She’s always willing to share anything about learning because she’s very experienced in teaching and training. She’d spent some years living in Canada; so, when she knew that I am going back to school, she gladly advised me how to make my study better. She’s always well-mannered, kind, friendly, and humble. Never had I seen her shout or lose her temper. She excelled both in her career and housework. My late father appreciated her a lot. She’s one of my sisters-in-law, called Celine Sze. It’s too bad that starting from Feb 16 this year, I won’t be able to chat with her about my studies anymore! Her burial took place yesterday.
With Women’s Day coming, I would like to take this opportunity to commemorate Celine, and of course my late Mom as well. Both of them are always beautiful in my heart. Perhaps you also have one or more women whom you think is/are beautiful. Let’s be grateful for having them in our life, and not forget all the beautiful things they have done for us. Lastly, let’s also treasure the moments when you can spend with your dear family members and friends.
