On this Tuesday’s episode of the Buzzer Beater, Sam, Christian, and David talk about the Seneca Sting Soccer and Baseball teams along with Maple Leafs training camp and NFL week three. It is safe to say the Sting have continued their dominance on the pitch coming off a national championship last year.
News came in last week that Rogers Communications is now the majority owner of Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment. Christian leads a quick conversation about the $4.7 billion deal that sees Rogers own 75% of one of North America’s biggest sports and entertainment companies.
For our five picks of the week, we took the Sting Women’s Soccer team to win a close game this Friday against Cambrian at Newnham Field as well as the Sting Men’s Baseball team to take game two of their doubleheader against Sheridan this Saturday in Mississauga.
David and Christian tee up their favourite NFL team’s matchups for week four and Sam discusses why he thinks the Blue Jays will beat the Red Sox Tuesday night at home.
The Buzzer Beater Show goes live every Tuesday from 5-6 pm only on SAY Radio.
